Invisalign
Invisalign is an innovative procedure for correcting misaligned teeth. In contrast to metal braces, a transparent splint is used, which is virtually unnoticeable. It can also be removed when eating and drinking or for daily dental care. The risk of an irritation of the gums and the teeth is also much lower.
A custom-made set of plastic splints gradually corrects the row of teeth. Each set is worn for about two weeks and then replaced with new aligners that are adjusted to the progress of the treatment. Gentle but effective!
At the beginning we define the goal of the treatment together. Based on that the course of the treatment is presented. In order to be able to move on to the planning phase, the last caries examination and tooth cleaning should not be more than three months ago.
The planning phase initially includes photos, x-rays and a 3D scan of your teeth. The result of the various treatment stages can be simulated in a digital 3D representation, giving you an impression of what the result will look like. The so-called ClinCheck takes place one week after the 3D scan has been carried out. You will receive information about the duration of the treatment and the number of sets required. The production of the aligners only begins when the treatment results shown meets your expectations. In rare cases, another scan may be required during the course of treatments to refine or adjust the end result.
The first set of aligners is attached to the teeth. These attachments allow and support the movement of the teeth in the desired direction. We also inform you about the correct handling and the wearing times of your aligners and on how to care for the splints. You will also receive the next set, which you will use after about two weeks. In the following monthly appointments we control the progress. A lost splint can always be replaced. Until you receive it, the aligner from the previous set should be worn so that the progress of the treatment is affected as little as possible.
After the treatment goal has been reached, a follow-up treatment guarantees the best results in the long term. The use of a retainer is also recommended. It holds the teeth permanently in the correct position, either in the form of a more rigid splint that is only worn at night, or in the form of a thin wire that is firmly glued to the inside of the teeth.

Wir haben uns für Invisalign (durchsichtige und herausnehmbare Schienen) aufgrund der ausgezeichneten Qualität der Produkte entschieden.
Die Kosten für eine Invisalign Behandlung sind vom Grad der Fehlstellung abhängig und beginnen bei ca. 2‘990 CHF.
Invisalign ist nicht für jede Person geeignet. Bei schwerwiegenden Fällen wie zum Beispiel bei starkem Über- und Unterbiss, empfiehlt es sich hingegen auf klassische Behandlungsmethoden zurückzugreifen.
Invisalign kann nicht angwendet werden, wenn Eckzähne, Prämolaren und Schneidezähne zu schief liegen. Bei Fällen, wo es im Kiefer zu wenig Platz hat, können sich die Zähne stark nach vorne oder hinten neigen. Die Behandlung mit Invisalign ist nicht empfehlenswert, wenn die Neigung mehr als 45 Grad beträgt.
In der Regel müssen Sie die Zahnschienen herausnehmen, sobald Sie etwas anderes trinken als Wasser.
Das hängt ganz individuell von Ihrer Zahfehlstellung ab. Die Behandlung ist kürzer, je einfacher die Zahnfehlstellung ist. Ein einfache Frontzahnkorrektur kann zum Beispiel 3 Monate dauern, eine mittelschwere Fehlstellung hingegen kann im Schnitt bis zu 6 Monate dauern.
